# 5 - Visit friends in Toowoomba and Dalby more often
My Beautiful Kerstin, the most loyal friend you could ever have and a ball of fun.
This is back at Kerstin's house after "clubbing" in Dalby. I can't even remember this being taken, I believe this was before some local morons tried to force their way in the front door and Kerstin sculled a hot red cruiser . . .
My absolute love Nikki. We spent the majority of the night dancing like fools in the living room and professing our love for each other.
The girls.

#43 - Go to the GOMA once a month for six months
Say and I went to the GOMA christmas markets today then wandered through both the GOMA and the old gallery. I don't know why I don't go more often. It makes me feel so at home and inspired.
The first exciting thing we saw was the Warhol exhibition being set up!
I do love Warhol, he wouldn't come in my top 5, or probably even top 10 artists but he's just so influential and fun. He makes me think about how fun art can be.
There was a beautiful interactive work by an Asian artist inviting viewers to write private and public letters in three different booths and either put addresses on the them for them to be posted or leave them on the walls of the booth for others to read.
We then wandered over to the old gallery and I do believe I squealed when I saw they had 5 Brett Whiteley paintings. Definitely one of my favourites, his work may be a bit depressing but its so expressive and honest. I love it so much.
Of course we also had to play with Yayoi Kasuma's balls.
And then another reason to sqeaul . . .
After the modern art we wandered through the more historic sections or as one lady we passed put it "This is REAL art." (I want to grab those people and shake them. Or introduce them to Jondi . . . )
#80 - Buy Something off Etsy & #81 - Buy 5 original artworks that I love - at least one from Black Apple
I bought some prints from The Black Apple off her Etsy store a couple of weeks ago. One print is for me while another is destined for a special someone for Christmas so I was desperately hoping they would arrive before Christmas. They did! With weeks to go they winged their way to me all the way from the states.
The one I bought myself is called Fox in the Snow and I love it so very much. It looks so cute above my bookshelf.

#62 - Find a Favourite Wine
#51 - Volunteer for a Charity
I've been doing it for a couple of weeks now and my Christine is the cutest thing I have ever come across. She can hardly hear me so just chats about what ever she wants, giggles at everything (almost like an elderly, female Dr Hibbert) and NEVER asks me anything about myself, which is quite odd when you've been speaking to someone every day for 2 weeks.
I'm not allowed to meet her in person but I imagine her to be something like this.
She is British after all . . .

#75 - Watch BBC version of Pride and Prejudice.
Hangover Sunday was a good day to start the Colin Firth lust marathon also known as Pride and Prejudice. I've seen this before and I know the story back to front from the book but it's so much better than the Keira Knightley version.
(Grrrr Keira Knightley. She's so horrid and stupid looking, never should she have been allowed to play Lizzy.)
Ohh Mr Darcy.

Lists, late nights and new acquisitions.
That shall be compiled shortly and shall be posted on here as well as the progress of the lists documentation.
I went out last night. I was convinced by an incredibly attractive girl to meet her and some other work friends at O'malleys for $4 Coronas, from there we went to a bar just down from the Brewhouse in the city. Some little Asian Karaoke dive where we danced to shitty pop music in front of the light spectacular and played pool REALLY badly. Also, why do I always make these commitments that I'll only go out for a couple of drinks and catch the last train home? We all know those promises never last, why do I lie to myself so?
I went up to the RSPCA Op Shop at Moorooka this morning and bought myself a wardrobe to get rid of the ugly rack that is curretnly holding all my clothes. I love Op Shop ladies, they are so predictable, either incredibly nice and sugary sweet or harsh old bags. I had the latter this morning, but hey she gave me a gorgeous lace curtain for 50c, she can't be that bad.
Another incredibly exciting experience that I had this morning that I'm sure make for incredibly thrilling blog fodder is my first and last attempt to cut my own hair. I recently got a fringe for the first time and this is what it was like just after I got it cut, all shiny and new . . .
Well we all know how quickly fringes grow and lo and behold six weeks later it was pissing me off. So I thought to myself, "People cut their own hair all the time! I'm moderately intelligent and skilled with scissors, I'm sure I can manage this myself."
*note to self, don't listen to brain when it tries to convince you to do a job yourself that really should be done by a professional*
Of course the only scissors I had available were either the kitchen scissors or my art scissors, I took the hygeinic route and used the art scissors . . .
Surprisingly it wasn't a complete disaster but lets just say its not exactly straight. Please don't look too closely at the left hand side. . .
So concludes my hair cutting adventure. I have been spenging a lovely day doing washing, tidying my room, putting new sheets on my bed and reading Emma (Jane Austin).
Hope your Saturday has been as delightful as mine.
